What if you could know *anything* but the price of that knowledge was that you could never share it or use it? Would this knowledge still be worth knowing?

Still playing Torment . . . a lot. I am really fascinated by the game's storyline as well as the philosophies of all the different factions in the game. Normally, you can only belong to one faction at a time - this is mostly political as differences in philosophy amount to not being able to see the forest among the trees. What's your favorite explanation for the Fermi Paradox? If life exists elsewhere in the universe and is anything like us, then I lean towards the Doomsday argument myself.
